INTERMEDIATE APPRENTICESHIP IN INSTALLING ELECTRONIC SECURITY SYSTEMS

The course covers the understanding and application of the following;

  • Health & Safety Legislation
  • Developing customer service skills
  • Environmental Legislation
  • Skills to work in the Security Systems sector, designing, installing, commissioning and maintaining electronic security systems such as Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Detection and Alarm Systems
  • Diagnosing and correcting system faults

The course contains a high level of practical work and it is important that strict safety rules and regulations are observed at all times

  • Level 2 Certificate in Providing Electronic Security and Emergency Systems (QCF)
  • Level 2 Certificate in Knowledge of Electronic Security Systems (QCF)
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP IN INSTALLING ELECTRONIC SECURITY SYSTEMS

This course is offered as a progression from the Intermediate Apprenticeship

Course Content 

  • Level 3 Certificate in Providing Electronic Security and Emergency Systems (QCF)
  • Level 3 Certificate in Knowledge of Electronic Security Systems (QCF)
  • Employee rights and responsibilities
  • Functional skills in English, Maths and Information Technology

Length of Programmes

  • 2 years
