ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP IN INSTALLING ELECTROTECHNICAL SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT

The course covers the understanding and application of the following;

  • Health & Safety Legislation
  • Environmental Legislation
  • Principles of the planning and selection in installing electrotechnical systems and equipment
  • Termination and connection of conductors, cables and cords
  • Inspection, testing and commissioning electrotechnical systems and equipment
  • Diagnosing and correcting electrical faults

The course contains a high level of practical work and it is important that strict safety rules and regulations are observed at all times.

  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Building, Structures and the Environment) City & Guilds QCF 2357
  • AM2 Test
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths and Information Technology
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Length of Programme

  • 4 years
